Hungry Kids?

Are too many Wisconsin Kids starting the day hungry? Pete at Racine Post http://www.racinepost.blogspot.com/ thinks so. His evidence is that, of the children eligible for a free breakfast, many are not receiving the free breakfast. Shame on us, we are even behind Arkansas in feeding the children.

Of course there is no actual evidence offered to suggest that the children in question are actually hungry. The "evidence" is that they are not being served breakfast at school.

Is it evidence of my hunger if I didn't eat a Happy Meal this morning? No, it is evidence that I didn't eat a Happy Meal, but it is not evidence that I didn't eat.

Could it be that the children are being fed at home by their parents before school? And if so, wouldn't this suggest that Wisconsin parents are more responsible that those in Arkansas who prefer to shift that responsibility to the state?

What planet do you live on? Now we can understand a little better the tunnel vision world you live in -or "Ivory Tower".

I don't know why I bother anon, but I will repeat. The evidence that exists confirms that the children did not eat breakfast at school. It does not confirm that they did not eat. I never ate breakfast at school. Does it follow that I was hungry for 12 years?

RUSD is very interested in getting more kids to eat at school due to the MONEY they get in providing the program.
Since they are hard pressed to prove the number RUSD is using the press to help the Feds to provide the funding.

Note also it is the Mothers and fathers responcbilty to provide the meals not the goverment's unless Mom and Dad can not due to unable to work NOT becuse mom and Dad will not get out of bed or looking for the next fix.
The State needs to take the kids out of the bad homes before we lose those kids too.

Yes, that is a great strategy, Denis, if there is a problem, then just insert some other random variable. It always works!

Isn't it funny how practically everything a certain anonymous says, is exactly what that anonymous needs to learn?

I knew Bill Ratzburg when he ran the homeless program for RUSD back in 93-94. I guess you know more than what I learned from him in his having to deal with this issue day after day...

I will now retract everything I have said because an anonymous blogger knew some guy who used to work at Unified 14 years ago. Or maybe not.
